One of my favorite things to do on a Friday night is hit the town and grab drinks with some friends. San Francisco has so many great bars that always have great interior, drinks, and lots of people! I will be sharing my favorite bars in San Francisco – whether you want it super fancy or more causal and fun! I will also be sharing my quintessential go-to look for some drinks with friends or cocktail hour with your man 😉
What should I start with: the outfit or the cocktail bars? Let’s just start with the outfit! Haha! After a day of work, you don’t want to put on this whole big look, but you still want to make a statement. To me, this look screams classy, yet sexy. The crispy white button down shirt is clean, but the lower cut gives a bit of sexiness. Now for the jeans. These are my favorite pair of jeans ever! I got them at a boutique in the Bay Area called Therapy. So if you are in the Bay Area, check out a store near you if you want the jeans. Otherwise, I feel like every girl has that one go to pair of jeans that just makes them feel great! And lastly I paired them with my favorite Steve Madden heels, that I truly feel like every girl should own!
Now let’s get to the most important part, the cocktail bars!! Below are some of my favorite bars in San Francisco that always seem to be packed, have a great ambiance and not to mention great drinks!
Located on 155 Columbus Ave, Comstock is in the heart of North Beach, so it is always lively and fun! This place not only has a great bar, but nice tables along the windows, so you can sit or stand and look out to the street. It has a bit of a more old fashioned feel, but super classy too. Every time I come here, it is always lively and packed!
Tipsy Pig –
With a name like this, what’s not intriguing about it?!? The Tipsy Pig has to be one of my favorite places to go to. Located on 2231 Chestnut Street in the Marina, it is the go to place for young people in their 20s and 30s. This bar serves food and has an outdoor patio with string lights which makes it so fun and cozy! All their cocktails are fabulous, especially their signature drink. If this is your first time in SF, I highly recommend stopping at the Tipsy Pig. Plus, Tacolicious is right across the street from the Tipsy Pig! So go ahead and get some good tacos after a few drinks! 😉
Trick Dog –
This is such a fun place! It is always crowded, so you can expect to have a fun night here. It is two levels with an awesome bar and great music. I can’t say enough good things about this place! It is so cool and I highly recommend checking out Trick Dog!
East Side West –
Down the street from the the Tipsy pig is a more traditional bar with a small dance floor. Located on 3154 Fillmore st, East Side West place is especially popular during Warriors basketball games! It’s a pretty fun environment!
Not only is this a very popular bar on a very busy street on Fillmore, but Sabrosa serves upscale Mexican food! Drinks and Mexican food? Can’t go wrong! This place gets pretty crowded with its huge bar, so don’t be surprised if you see a line out the door! Located on 3200 Fillmore St.
Say you want something a bit fancier, maybe it’s date night. Well Mourad is definitely the place for you! This is a very fine dinning Moroccan restaurant with California vibes. However, the bar is absolutely incredible and has a very cozy ambiance. Located on 140 New Montgomery St., this is definitely my favorite place to go for date night.
Because maybe you want to play old pin ball machines while you enjoy this two story bar. Located on 508 4th Street, Coin – Op is certainly the place for you!
The Riddler –
Champagne and Caviar anyone?? Yes, the Riddler is a champagne bar with light appetizers and it is in such a cute and boujee area! Great to go out with a few girlfriends. Located on 528 Laguna St.
A Mano –
Although this is a restaurant, their bar is absolutely insane! Truly the coolest bar, you can check out more of a Mano on the blog post I did here. They have amazing food as well! Located on 450 Hayes St.
The Dorian –
Another boujee place, but they serve really fun cocktails in a very cool ambiance! Located on 2001 Chestnut street in the Marina, you can never really go wrong. Plus they serve daiquiris in really cool glasses!
Leo’s Oyster Bar –
Last but certainly not least is Leo’s Oyster Bar! Post on it coming soon, but this is located in the heart of the financial district so you will get a lot of business guys after work. But the main attraction isn’t that 😉 it’s the amazing style of this bar! Here’s a pic below. It is always fun and crowded and the seafood is amazing! Caviar on an Oyster anyone?
Hope you enjoyed the round up of my favorite bars for every occasion. Plus, the outfit is a total go-to, just grab a sexy clutch and you are on your way! If you want a fun date night restaurant spot, check out my post on one of my favorite restaurants, A16.
